Instructions
Step 1
* Mix active dry yeast with warm water or milk add a teaspoon of sugar, allow to sit until yeast is foamy.(water should be the same as your body temperature, not too warm, insert a clean finger into the warm water, if it’s hot on your finger, it’s too hot.)
Step 2
* To a wide bowl or a stand mixer, add the yeast mixture and the other ingredients except the butter.
Step 3
* Mix for 5 minutes until combined, transfer to a flat surface and knead for 5 minutes if kneading with hands. (If using a stand mixer mix for 2 minutes using the hook attachment)
Step 4
* After 5 minutes, add the butter, knead for another 15 minutes with hand or 6 minutes with machine.
Step 5
* Transfer to an oiled bowl, cover and allow to rise until doubled.
Step 6
* When doubled, punch down, shape and transfer to baking pan.
Step 7
* Cover and allow to rise for about 40 minutes or until doubled
Step 8
* Preheat oven to 350f or 175c
Step 9
* Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown
