Copy Cat In-n-Out "Roadkill" Secret Menu Item

This In-N-Out secret menu item is so good! "Roadkill", which is fries "animal style" and a flying dutchman crushed on top. The flying dutchman is a secret menu item itself, consisting of two beef patties as your "bun" and two slices of cheese in between. Take that and crush it over some delicious cheesy, onion and saucy fries and you have your "roadkill"! A fun and easy recipe to copy and makes great for groups to just dig on in!

Step 1

Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl, then place in the fridge to combine the flavors.

Step 2

Cook your frozen french fries according to package directions.

Step 3

While your fries cook, heat a cast iron pan on medium heat. Add a little oil and then add in chopped onions. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the onions and wipe down your cast iron. Add a little more oil and place both burger patties down. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add 1 tbsp of mustard to each burger, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Add your 2 slices of cheese on 1 burger and let melt for 30 seconds. Top with your other burger to create your flying dutchman.

Step 7

When the fries are finished, add your American cheese slices and place in broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.

Step 8

Top your cheese fries with the caramelized onions, then secrets sauce and finally your flying dutchman.

For the "roadkill" effect, crush your flying dutchman over your animal style fries and enjoy!
