Instructions
Step 1
Mix together 2 tbsp cornstarch and the seasonings. Add the beef to the crock pot, sprinkle over the cornstarch mixture and stir to coat all of the beef. Add in the brown sugar, beef broth and soy sauce. Mix together.
Step 2
Cook on low 5 hours or high 3 hours.
Step 3
Mix together the remaining cornstarch and cold water and stir into the sauce to thicken it. Add the broccoli. Cook Another 30 minutes.
Step 4
Serve over rice with sesame seeds and scallions
Step 5
**if the sauce isn’t thick enough, or you want it thicker then strain the sauce/juices into a small sauce pan. Mix another 1 tbsp cornstarch and 1 tbsp cold water together to make a slurry and add yo the sauce pan. Cook on medium high , whisking constantly until thickened then pour over the beef and broccoli.
