This is my own version of Pizza Sauce, using the best plum tomatoes you can afford, you can create this delicious sauce as a base for you own pizza creations

Instructions
Step 1

Pre heat your oven to max 240°c+ Gas mark 9

Step 2

Finely chop the red onion and gently fry until translucent approx 7 to 8 mins in the olive oil



Step 3

Add the crushed garlic and saute for a couple of minutes


Step 4

Pour the San Marzano tomatoes into a dish and crush them with your hands. Using a blender is not recommended as this will break the seeds which inturn makes the sauce bitter. Add the tomatoes and the puree to the pan


Step 5

Stir in the salt and pepper, origano and Worcestershire sauce if you want a bit of spice add the chilli flakes





Step 6

Bring to boil and reduce to simmer for 10 minutes
Step 7

Remove the pan from the hob and then place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Step 8

Stir in a handful of fresh basil . Store in the fridge or freeze
