Instructions

for the soup

Step 1
Add all ingredients in a pan, except for the bloomed gelatin. Bring to a boil.
Step 2
Reduce to a simmer, then add in bloomed gelatin, and stir until dissolved. Pour the mixture into a tub and place in the fridge overnight.

for the dumplings

Step 3
Mix all of the prepared dumpling ingredients into a bowl.
Step 4
Remove the soup jelly from the fridge and chop it into small pieces before adding to the mix and stirring as well.
Step 5
Add a tablespoon of filling to a dumpling wrapper and wet the edges, and bring each side in by pinching together until a pleated dumpling is formed. Repeat until all the filling is gone.
Step 6
Fill a pan halfway up with water and add a steamer (you can pan fry and steam in a pan if you don’t have a steamer).
Step 7
Add the dumplings to the steamer and steam for 8 minutes. Remove and serve with optional toppings and garnishes, and enjoy!
