Instructions

In a double boiler, combine chocolate chips and water; heat until melted and smooth

Add egg yokes one at a time, beating after each addition

Break the cake into medium-sized pieces and fill the bottom of a 13x9x2 inch pan; use some, not all of the cake, just so the bottom is covered but not packed tightly. Set aside

In a large bowl beat egg whites until stiff.

In another large bowl whip cream until stiff

Gently fold egg whites and cream into cooled chocolate mixture until completely blended. This may take awhile.

Pour half of the chocolate mousse over the cake layer in the pan.
Step 9
Add a second layer of cake pieces to the pan and cover with the remaining mousse, smoothing the top. You'll probably use about 1.5 to 1.75 of the cakes.
Step 10
Cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
