Instructions

Step 1
1. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and sliced garlic, and sauté for about five minutes or until they are soft and starting to brown.
Step 2
2. Add the ground beef and chopped oregano to the pan. Cook for about ten minutes, breaking up the meat with a spoon as it browns.
Step 3
3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Then, add the diced zucchini and bell pepper. Cook for another ten minutes.
Step 4
4. Pour in the beef broth and chopped tomatoes. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 5
5. While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta in boiling water for about 8 minutes, until it's slightly less than al dente. Drain the pasta immediately and set it aside.
Step 6
6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Step 7
7. Once the sauce has finished simmering, add the cooked pasta, beaten eggs, 4 tablespoons of grated cheese, frozen peas, and chopped hard-boiled eggs to the pan. Season with salt and pepper, and gently mix everything together.
Step 8
8. Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.
Step 9
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to an hour, until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Enjoy your delicious pasta bake!
