Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl, add ground beef, onion, stale bread crumbs, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, parsley, and oregano, and mix everything until well combined. Using a spoon or 1 1/2 tbsp ice cream scoop, divide the ground beef and roll each into a ball. Place the balls on a baking sheet and repeat the process with all of the beef.
Step 2
Heat a nonstick pot or dutch oven over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp olive oil, place the meatballs in the pot and cook for 3-4 min until every side is brown. Remove the meatballs from the pot and place on a plate.
Step 3
In the same pot, add 2 tbsp olive oil and the onions. Saute the onions over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until lightly golden brown. Add garlic and tomato sauce and cook for 1-2 min. Add water, salt, pepper, and basil, and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Place the cooked meatballs into the sauce pot and, stirring occasionally, cook over medium-low heat for 20-30 min until the sauce thickness is as in the IG reel.
Step 5
Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to your pasta type. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce pot and gently stir until well combined. Serve with grated parmesan, fresh basil leaves and some more olive oil.
Step 6
These ingredients will make 30-36 meatballs. If you don’t like your pasta with so many meatballs, you can put some of the beef in a ziploc bag and store it in the freezer until ready to use.
