Instructions
Step 1

Place all the ingredients in a pot and set it over steam, or use a thick-bottomed pot over low heat. Stir intensely until the mixture darkens without burning or boiling.

Remove from heat, let it cool, and gradually add 5 cups of flour.
Step 3
Knead the dough until soft and pleasant, then refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 4
Make 16 cm diameter layers and you should get 22 pieces. Larger sizes, like 28 cm, are also fine.
Step 5

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 2 minutes. Prick the layers with a fork before putting it in the oven.
Step 6

Use your preferred cream.
