Instructions
Step 1
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 2
Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and set it aside.
Step 3
Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of the springform pan, forming an even layer. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
Step 4
Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to mix until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5
Add the Flavors: Fold in the mashed bananas and smooth peanut butter into the cheesecake batter, mixing until everything is well combined. Be careful not to overmix to avoid incorporating too much air.
Step 6
Layer with Caramel: Pour half of the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Add the remaining cheesecake batter on top, then drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce. Use a knife to swirl the caramel into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
Step 7
Bake the Cheesecake: Place the cheesecake in the oven and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Turn off the oven, crack the door slightly, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracks.
Step 8
Chill and Decorate: After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and drizzle additional caramel sauce on top. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and, if desired, garnish with sliced bananas.
