Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to Gas 4/ 350°F/ 180°C/ 160°C fan
Step 2
Lightly grease and line 18cm or 7" square pan
Step 3
Put butter and golden syrup in a pan and heat gently until melted
Step 4
Remove from heat
Step 5
Stir in sugar and rolled oats. Mix well
Step 6
Spread mixture evenly in tin and press down firmly
Step 7
Bake in centre of oven 20 mins
Step 8
Remove from oven. Leave to cool in tin 5 mins
Step 9
Cut into 5 strips down and 5 strips across tin to make 25 bars
Step 10
Leave in tin until cold. Break into bars. Store in airtight tin
