Apple berry crumble

Ingredients

2apples
1 cfrozen mixed berries
⅛ calmond flour
⅛ carrowroot flour
tapioca flour
⅛ ccoconut shredded
¼ cpecans
or walnuts
2 tablespoonscoconut oil
1 ½ tablespoonspure maple syrup
or rice bran syrup
½ teaspoonvanilla extract
⅛ teaspoonsea salt
⅛ teaspoonground cinnamon
almond flour
to make topping less wet and more crumbly
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C.

Peel apples and slice thinly.

Stew apples in a pot of water for 10-15 mins.

While apples are stewing, put frozen berries in a crumble dish and make crumble topping.

To make crumble topping, mix the rest of the ingredients, except the coconut oil, in a mixing bowl. Add the coconut oil and mix / mash / break up until mixture is crumble consistency. Add more almond meal in small amounts if too sticky.

Drain apples once cooked and put into dish with berries. Mix berries and apple.

Using a spoon or your hands place lumps of crumble topping on top of berry apple mixture.

Bake for around 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the berry apple mixture is bubbling.

Serve hot or cold with vanilla/plain coconut yoghurt.
