Instructions
Step 1
Add the beef and onions to a soup pot.
Step 2
Cook over med-high heat until the beef has browned (about 7-10 minutes), breaking the meat up with your spoon as you go along.
Step 3
If there is a lot of excess fat, spoon most of it out.
Step 4
Stir in the tomato paste, garlic powder, and chili powder.
Step 5
Add in the beef broth and increase the heat to high. Add water
Step 6
Once it starts boiling, add in the macaroni
Step 7
Reduce the heat so it's not furiously boiling (a rapid simmer is good). (Med heat?)
Step 8
Let it cook uncovered until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed (about 13-15 minutes)
Step 9
Stir every few min
Step 10
While cooking grate the cheese
Step 11
Take pot off the heat
Step 12
Stir in cheese
Step 13
Let sit few mins before serving
