This marble cake is a delightful treat that combines the rich flavors of vanilla and chocolate in a beautifully layered design.

- 150 g soft butter
- 150 g sugar
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200 g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 ml milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk (for the chocolate batter)

Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat). Grease a 19 cm diameter cake pan and dust with flour, or line it with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, cream the soft butter with the sugar and vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing each for about 30 seconds.

3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, and alternately fold it into the butter-sugar mixture with the milk until a smooth batter forms.

4. Leave two-thirds of the batter in the bowl as the vanilla portion. To the remaining third, add the cocoa powder, 2 tbsp milk, and the melted chocolate. Mix well.

5. Begin by spreading a layer of the vanilla batter in the prepared cake pan. Follow with a layer of the chocolate batter.

6. Repeat this process until both batters are used up, finishing with a layer of vanilla batter.

6. Bake the cake on the middle rack of the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes.

7. Check if the cake is done by inserting a wooden skewer; if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.

8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before carefully removing it and letting it cool completely on a wire rack.
