Goat cheese black berry twists

These puff pastry twists are best made same-day and while still warm. However, you can make these in advance by storing in the fridge once cooled up to 1 day prior. Reheat at 350F on a parchment paper-lined baking pan for 4-5 minutes on each side, until warm and flaky.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375
Step 2
In a saucepan, combine the blackberries, honey, ground cinnamon, and ¼ cup water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer 10 minutes, until thick and jam-like. Let cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Line a large, rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 4
Combine 1 cup blackberry jam and softened goat cheese in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
Step 5
Spread the mixture over the thawed puff pastry. Fold the pastry in half lengthwise and slice into ½” strips.
Step 6
Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking pan.
Step 7
Brush the twists with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the sugar
Step 8
Bake 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and flaky.
