Instructions

Pumpkin Batter

Step 1
Blend the cooked pumpkin until smooth and set aside.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add the pumpkin puree, then mix in the melted butter, fresh cream, and sifted flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Stir until fully combined. Set aside.

Chocolate Batter

Step 4
In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy.
Step 5
Melt the dark chocolate and add it to the egg-sugar mixture, mixing well.
Step 6
Add the sifted flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, stirring until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.

Assemble the Cake

Step 7
Line a loaf pan (plumcake tin) with parchment paper.
Step 8
Alternate spoonfuls of the pumpkin batter and chocolate batter in the pan, creating a marble effect by swirling the two batters together with a knife or skewer.

Bake the Cake

Step 9
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 10
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 11
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
