This icing recipe is great for sugar cookies or as a dip for Graham crackers, making it great for this time of year. It's free of added sugar, butter, and cream cheese. Just blend dates with high in protein cottage cheese or Greek yogurt, and you have a simple frosting for your cakes! Each serving is about 2 tbsp or 29 g

Add the dates to a bowl, and cover with warm water. Let soak for 10 minutes to soften. Other unsweetened dried fruit will work, like raisins, prunes, or figs. Set aside the soaking liquid
