Instructions

Step 1
Rinse the 1⅓ cups of basmati rice until water runs clear — essential for preventing a mushy texture.
Step 2
Brush or rub a thin layer of neutral oil or butter across the bottom of the insert. This is key to avoiding the burn warning.

Add all ingredients

Stir gently once — don’t scrape the bottom.

Pressure cook: Set to Low Pressure for 6 minutes
