I love this recipe because it's super cewy and soft and so good. Just know it sometimes has small darker bits in it. This is perfectly normal.

Instructions

Step 1
Line a 13 x 9 pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
Step 2
Get a 2qt heavy sause pan, comine brown sugar sweetened condensed milk, butter and corn syrup.
Step 3
Cook and stir at medium heat until the thermometer reads 248 degrees. (You can use a candy thermometer or a regular meat one.)
Step 4
Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla.
Step 5
Pour caramel into the pan with foil.
Step 6
Cool completely before taking the hardened caramel out of the pan.
Step 7
(Optional) Cut and wrap the caramel squares individually with parchment paper.
