Ingredients

1 cupunsalted butter
softened

2 cupsgranulated sugar

4eggs
large

3 cupsall purpose flour

½ teaspoonbaking powder

½ teaspoonbaking soda

½ teaspoonsalt

1 cupbuttermilk

¼ cupkey lime juice

2Zest of key limes

1 teaspoonvanilla extract

8 ozcream cheese
softened

¼ cupunsalted butter
softened

4 cupspowdered sugar

2 tablespoonskey lime juice

1Zest of key lime
Instructions
Step 1
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

5. Begin with dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. End with dry ingredients as well.

6. Stir in the key lime juice, zest and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

8. Bake for approximately 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

9. Remove cake from oven and let sit in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.

2. Gradually add the powdered sugar one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.

3. Stir in key lime juice and zest. Continue to mix until icing is smooth and creamy.

4. Once cake has cooled, drizzle key lime cream cheese icing on top of the cake. Slice and serve!
