Step 1
Boil sugar in water

Keep boiling until most of the water is gone.
Step 3
Add almonds

Step 4
Boil away the water and sugar crystallizes around almonds.
Stir constantly.

Turn down heat.
Step 6
Keep stirring, and sugar will start to melt.
Step 7
Take off heat and add butter.

Step 8
Keep stirring until butter is melted.
Step 9
Remove to sheet pan covered with parchment paper.


Step 10
Add salt and cayenne pepper.


Step 11
Let cool completely.
