Instructions

Step 1
Line a 9-inch (23cm) square baking tin with parchment paper and set it aside.
Step 2
Melt the butter, golden syrup, and milk chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds.
Step 3
Once melted, stir in the crushed digestive biscuits and Maltesers, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into the lined tin and press it down gently with a spoon.
Step 5
Melt the remaining milk chocolate in a separate bowl, then pour it over the biscuit mixture and spread it evenly.
Step 6
Scatter the remaining Maltesers on top, crushing a few and leaving some whole. Place the tin in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until firm. Cut into squares.
