Instructions
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
Step 2
Cream butter & sugars: In a larger bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and fluffy.
Step 3
Add in the egg, milk, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix well until smooth and vibrant red.
Step 4
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
Step 5
Fold in white chocolate chips.
Step 6
Cover the dough and chill for 30 minutes (this helps keep them thick and chewy).
Step 7
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 8
Scoop dough (about 2 tbsp each) onto the sheet, spacing them apart.
Step 9
Bake for 9-11 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly soft.
Step 10
Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
