Instructions

Step 1
Measure 2 cups water into heavy 2 quart sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Add a tablespoon of butter and a teaspoon of salt.
Step 3
Stir in 1 cup brown rice.
Step 4
Cover the sauce pan and lower the heat and simmer 45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and all the water is absorbed.
