Grandma Jane's Sugar Cookies

THE Sugar cookie I grew up on. Tender, buttery, with the classic sugar cookie taste. The ingredient list below is for a double batch. This makes about 4-5 dozen cookies. Just remember, once you stuff yourself silly with these, share the rest with family and friends.

Instructions
Step 1
Cream butter & sugar. Slowly add egg(s) & vanilla.
Step 2
Blend in dry ingredients, 1/3 at a time on low speed of stand mixer. Mix until the dough comes together.
Step 3
Refrigerate overnight or at least four hours.
Step 4
Bake @ 375° until edges just start to brown. ( 7-8 minutes). For crunchier cookie bake a bit longer.
Step 5
Optional: We bake them one day and then frost the next. Use your favorite frosting but our go to is Betty Crocker Fluffy White frosting.
