Instructions
Step 1
If eating hot, transfer the contents of the can (sauerkraut and the brine) to a small or medium saucepan.
Add a small amount of liquid, such as a tablespoon or two of water, to the pot if it seems dry, to prevent sticking and burning.
Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
Simmer gently for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until it is heated through. Avoid bringing it to a rolling boil, as this can break down the texture.
