Instructions
Step 1
Melt one cup of butter in a fry pan.
Step 2
Sauté onions, celery, parsley, and mushrooms in melted butter.
Step 3
Add seasonings and sauté until fragrant.
Step 4
Put your cubed bread in the crockpot and pour the onion and mushroom mixture over top.
Step 5
Pour 2-3 cups of broth over bread cubes.
Step 6
Beat 2 eggs and pour them over the bread cube mixture.
Step 7
Stir then cook the mixture on high for 1 1/2 hours and then low for 4-6 hours until set. If it gets too dry add more broth.
