Let's get this creamy chicken liver recipe goin'! 🍗 Here's what you'll need:
- 500g chicken livers, cleaned and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup full cream milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Now, let's cook:
1. Heat the butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
2. Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
3. Add the chicken livers and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the livers from the pan and set aside.
4. Pour in the full cream milk and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it starts to thicken slightly.
5. Return the livers to the pan and stir to coat with the creamy milk sauce. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme (if using).
6. Simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes, or until the livers are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
