Instructions

Step 1
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl, and add sugar. Rub in butter until like coarse breadcrumbs. Add breadcrumbs, if using. Make a well in the centre and pour in beaten egg and milk. Pour into a well-greased 18cm x 8cm tin. Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining ingredients of the topping mixture, which have been mixed together. Pop in the oven.
