Instant Pot BBQ Honey Kielbasa Pasta
Smoky kielbasa and pasta cooked quickly in the Instant Pot, then finished with sweet BBQ sauce and honey. Optional cheddar makes it extra creamy; parsley adds freshness.

12 ozkielbasa sausage
sliced into coins
8 ozpasta
penne, rotini, or shells work best
1onion
small, diced
2cloves garlic
minced
1 ½ cupschicken broth
½ cupbarbecue sauce
your favorite
2 Tbsphoney
1 Tbspolive oil
½ tspsmoked paprika
optional, but great flavor
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
½ cupshredded cheddar cheese
optional, for creamy finish
Fresh parsley
optional garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Sauté: Set Instant Pot to Sauté. Add olive oil and kielbasa. Brown for 3–4 minutes to get some color. Remove and set aside.
Step 2
Build flavor: Add onion and cook 2–3 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Add liquids + pasta: Pour in chicken broth and scrape the bottom (important to avoid burn notice). Add pasta (don’t stir too much—just submerge). Return kielbasa on top.
Step 4
Pressure cook: Seal lid and cook on High Pressure for 4–5 minutes (half the pasta’s box time). Quick release when done.
Step 5
Make it saucy: Stir in BBQ sauce and honey. If using cheese, add it now and stir until melted and creamy.
Step 6
Finish: Taste and adjust salt/pepper. Sprinkle parsley if you want.
