Instructions

Step 1
Place the chopped apples, berries, and water into a large saucepan. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes until the apples are completely soft.
Step 2
Transfer the hot mixture into a blender, add the lemon juice, and purée on high speed until completely smooth with no lumps.
Step 3
Line a large baking sheet with a reusable silicone baking mat. Pour the purée onto the center of the mat. Use a spatula to spread the purée evenly into a rectangle about 1/8-inch thick, ensuring the edges are not thinner than the center to prevent burning.
Step 4
Bake in the oven at its lowest possible setting (between 50°C and 70°C) for 4 hours until the center is tacky but does not leave a fingerprint. Peel away, slice into strips with scissors, and store in an airtight container.
