Instructions

Step 1
Prep the boats: Cut your cucumbers in half lengthwise. Use a metal spoon to scrape out the watery center seeds, leaving a hollowed-out ditch.
Step 2
Dry the boats: Let the cucumbers sit upside down on a paper towel for 5 minutes to drain off excess moisture so your spread sticks perfectly.
Step 3
Season the spread: If your Gouda spread is plain, stir the garlic powder, onion powder, and dried chives directly into the tub (or a small bowl) to give it a savory boost. If it is already a flavored spread, you can skip this!
Step 4
Fill the boats: Use a butter knife or spoon to smear a thick layer of your Gouda cheese spread right into the hollowed-out center of the cucumbers.
Step 5
Stuff with ham: Take your Buddig ham slices, roll them up tight, and press them right down into the Gouda spread so they stay secure.
Step 6
Serve: Slice into bite-sized wheels or eat it whole.
