Limeade or Lemonade Base

3 steps
Prep:10min
Just add the juice of a few limes (or lemons, up to you) to a lidded jar with some granulated sugar and shake until it’s dissolved. That mixture then hangs out in the fridge, ready for you to add to the bottom of a glass and top off with seltzer. It’s an instant sparkling citrus refresher for a hot day.

Instructions

Step 1
1. Juice the limes lemons. How many limes you need really depends on how fast you plan on going through the mixture. I usually do enough to get about 1/2 cup of juice, which can be anywhere from 3 to 5 limes depending on how juicy they are.
Step 2
2. Add sugar. This is according to your taste. Start with a smaller amount and feel free to adjust to your tastes.
Step 3
3. Shake. Cover the jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake until the sugar is dissolved into the juice.
