Sourdough Discard Pie Crust

3 steps
Prep:5minCook:15min
Normally when I feed my starter, I mix the discard with baking powder and salt, and make 2 Sourdough Discard Flatbreads. But today I wanted to make something different. What if I tried making a sourdough pie crust? I'm taking the same concept, and instead baking it in a pie pan to make a low-calorie pie crust that's full of flavor for practically zero effort. Just add to a pan, mix, shape, and bake.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350F. Line the bottom of a 9" pie pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
Add your starter directly to the pan with baking powder and salt. Mix together with a silicone spatula until fully combined. Smooth out to a bottom pie crust. Note that this will not go up the sides, just the base.
