Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the most delicious chocolate chip cookies ever. This recipe can be used for Passover, Gluten Free or just everyday baking. The secret weapon is Tahini, sesame seed paste. Unique and fabulous.

Ingredients

4 ozmargarine
or butter

½ cupbrown sugar
packed

½ cupgranulated sugar

½ cupTahini sesame seed paste

1 tspvanilla

1egg
whole

1egg
yok

150gcake meal
or all purpose / gluten free flour

½ tspbaking soda

1 tspbaking powder

1 Tbsppotato starch
or corn

1 tspsalt

½ tspespresso powder
instant

1 tsporange zest

230gchocolate chunks

fleur de sel
as garnish

toasted sesame seeds
as garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degree Fahrenheit

Step 2
Beat margarine and sugars together; then add in vanilla and Tahini


Step 3
Add whole egg; blend then add in egg yolk.


Step 4
In a side bowl combine cake meal, baking soda & powder, potato starch, salt and espresso powder.

Step 5
With mixer on low add in dry ingredients until just combined; add in zest and chocolate chucks.


Step 6
Divide and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake 18 minutes.



Step 7
Remove from oven and immediately top with a sprinkling of Fleur de sel and toasted sesame seeds. Let cool 5 minutes. Enjoy!!
