Instructions

Can be prepped ahead. Freeze up to 1 month

Step 1
Mix flour and salt. Cut butter and lard in using 2 knives or hands until it resembles fine crumbs

Step 2
Mix egg, water, vinegar. Make a well in the flour mixture and pour wet ingredients inside. Mix by hand until dough forms.

Step 3
Divide into 2 parts. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

When ready to use

Step 4
Roll dough between 2 pieces of plastic wrap into a circular pie crust that fits the pie plate

Step 5
To par cook, preheat oven to 350. Put crust in pie pan. Puncture with fork. Crimp the edges. Bake 15 minutes to reach golden brown, or less depending on recipe.
