Instructions
Step 1
Get a pot with water and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Crush the ChocNut and put in a bowl. Add the toasted sesame seeds and mix thoroughly. Set aside
Step 3
Mix the glutinous rice flour and water until it forms a smooth dough that is not too wet or too dry, and will hold its shape. Gradually add the water so the dough does not get too wet. If it does, just add a little more rice flour.
Step 4
Form the dough into balls. Press your thumb into the ball halfway, then start crimping the sides to form a cavity. Using a piping bag, add Nutella into the cavity. Don’t pipe too much. A little goes a long way. Seal the rice cake and gently form a puck.
Step 5
One by one, gently drop the palitaw into the boiling water. Work in small batches so they do not stick together.
Step 6
Once the palitaw rises to the top, it is cooked. Remove from the water and place onto a plate. Keep them separated so they do not stick to each other.
Step 7
Roll the palitaw in the ChocNut and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy.
