Easy (and incredible) Pie Crust
There's something about this crust that makes it just incredible. Is it the egg yolk? Not sure. But this is the best crust you will ever have. (Makes one generous crust)

Ingredients

2 ½ cupsall-purpose flour

¼ cunsalted butter
chilled, cut in 1" pieces

2 tablespoonssugar

¼ tsalt
¼ cvegetable shortening frozen
cut in pieces, butter flavor is best

1egg
large

3 tablespoonswater
ice
Instructions
Step 1
Blend first four ingredients in food processor. Beat egg with two tablespoons of ice water; Add to processor. Blend until large, moist clumps form, adding more water if dry.
Step 2
Add shortening, process until very coarse meal forms.
Step 3
Blend first four ingredients in food processor.
Step 4
Beat egg with two tablespoons of ice water; Add to processor. Blend until large, moist clumps form, adding more water if dry.
Step 5
Gather dough, wrap in plastic. Chill at least an hour.
