Instructions
Step 1
Pulse ground chicken, onion, garlic, dried basil, and oregano in a food processor just until combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste and combine.
Step 2
Divide meat into 8 portions and shape into 1/4- to 1/2-inch patties in 2 rows on parchment paper.
Step 3
Top half the patties with a slice of mozzarella and 1 tbsp shredded parmesan. Season with salt and pepper and cover with remaining patties. Seal the edges of the burgers with a fork and coat with nonstick spray.
Step 4
Grill or panfry burgers, covered, for 4 minutes. Flip burgers and top with marinara and provolone slices. Grill or panfry, covered, until well-done
Step 5
Remove burgers from grill, tent with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Place each burger on a ciabatta roll with fresh basil leaves and serve.
