Step 1
In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar, and shortening with a fork until crumbly. In a separate bowl, mix egg and milk together, then add to the flour mixture and stir until dough is formed. Press into pizza pan or 9x13 pan. Bake at 375F for 10 min.
Step 2
Put toppings on prebaked crust, ending with cheese on top. Bake an additional 20 min, or until crust is golden brown.
