Step 1
Rinse and trim green beans
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large pan, over medium-high heat, add garlic and shallots and cook until fragrant, about a minute. Add green beans and cook an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring often.
Step 3
Season with garlic powder and salt, add water and cover immediately. Cook covered until the beans are bright green and crisp-tender, 1 to 2 minutes or until water has evaporated.
Step 4
Add spinach and cook for 5 minutes, until wilted, add bacon and red pepper flakes, and cook until warmed.
