Instructions
Instructions for Fried Garlic
Step 1
Add ingredients to small sauce pot and heat over medium high. Stir and cook for 60 seconds until butter is melted and the garlic + herbs are fragrant. Don’t burn your garlic. Allow to cool for a 5 minutes before combining with garlic knot dough.
Instructions for Garlic Dough
Step 2
Add all the ingredients except the soften butter to a mixer with dough hook attachment. Make sure the salt and yeast are on separate sides of the bowl. Mix on high for about 8 minutes. Your dough should be well combined and clearing the bowl. Turn your mixer on medium high and add your butter to the dough a tablespoon at a time. Once the butter is fully incorporated with the dough and clears the bowl. Cover dough and place in the warmest part of your kitchen then allow it to rise for 30-45 minutes.
Step 3
Flip onto floured work surface and degas the dough. Cut dough into 12 even pieces the best you can. Then take a piece of your dough and tie it into knots. Grab a bowl and add your fried butter to it and toss your dough knots until they’re fully covered. Then place into a baking dish for another 30 minutes. Once they’ve doubled inside add it to 450 degree for 15 to 18 minutes or until your desired browness is achieved.
Step 4
Melt some butter and brush your garlic knots when they come out the oven.
