Step 1
Soak the dates in a bowl of hot water for 30 minutes
Step 2
Drain the dates well, press out any surplus water, then roughly chop. Place the dates, almond flour, almond butter, vanilla, maca powder and salt in a food processor and process until it turns a thick paste
Step 3
Spoon the mixture into a cling film lined brownie pan, pressing down into 1cm thick. Fold the overhanging cling film over the top to protect from freezer burn
Step 4
Freeze for an hour, or until firm, then cut into 24 squares, sprinkle the top with a little sea salt if wanted. Store in freezer for up to one month
