Instructions

Step 1
Bring the milk to a simmer. Then add oil, butter, and salt. Let cool to room temperature. 2. Sprinkle the yeast into 2 cups of warm water and 2 tsp sugar. 3. Let rise until doubled in size and frothy. It will resemble a creamy foam. 4. Once yeast has risen, proclaim "Yeast has risen" to someone over the phone. 5. Add the milk mixture, beaten eggs, and 4 cup sugar. 6. In a stand mixer, place entire mixture and slowly add one flour at a time until a soft dough forms. 7. Dough should be soft and not sticky. Kneed for at least 10 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic. 8. Place the dough in a large oiled bowl, flipping it in the bowl to cover all sides with oil. 9. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft free place for 1.5 hours or until double in size. 10. Section the dough into 2-3 batches and roll each out on a lightly floured surface. 11. Each rolled out section should be no more than ½ inch thick. 12. Brush the melted butter across the rolled section. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. If you use a wire sieve or a sifter, you get a more even distribution across the dough. 13. Starting at one edge, tightly roll the dough and seal the edge. 14. Cut into 1 inch slices and place into a buttered pan, spaced approximately 1 inch between each piece. 15. Cover and let rise until doubled in size. 16. Preheat oven to 350degrees Fahrenheit. 17. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes. 18. Remove from oven, and brush liberally with glaze. 19. Return to oven and bake for 7-8 minutes. 20. Remove from oven. Turn them upside down on a clean surface. Brush the sides and bottom with the remaining glaze. 21. Let them cool to room temperature. 22. Try not to sit down and eat them all in one day. 23. For additional deliciousness, try covering the tops with the cream chees frosting found in this book.
