Instructions

For the syrup (make the night before)

Step 1
Bring to a boil the water, sugar, sticks of cinnamon, cloves and orange
Step 2
Remove from heat, add honey and mix till combined

For the melomakarona

Step 3
Combine the first and second mixture and mix by hand (gently)
Step 4
Mold cookie dough (30g / cookie)
Step 5
Bake at 190Ā°C for 20 to 25 minutes
Step 6
As soon as you remove the cookies from the oven, soak them in the syrup (10 sec)
Step 7
Drizzle the cookies with honey and chopped walnuts
Step 8
This recipe makes 40 melomakarona
