Instructions

Step 1
Combine water, sugar, and coconut milk in a large pot (nonstick preferred) over medium-low heat until sugar is fully dissolved
Step 2
Add cinnamon and nutmeg with sweetened condensed milk and mix until combined
Step 3
Next add the coconut flakes and a pinch of sea salt
Step 4
Mix occasionally on medium low heat for about an hour (maybe less), then remove the cinnamon and nutmeg
Step 5
Continue mixing, making sure the mix doesn't brown too much until it reaches the consistency and texture of refried beans
Step 6
Remove from heat and transfer to silicone molds, parchment paper or spread mixture over a clean cutting board and press mixture down and flat so it's compact
Step 7
Give time to fully cool (30 minutes or so)
Step 8
Cut into bars and enjoy!
