Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with shortening and set aside.
Step 2
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Once butter is melted, add in sugar and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Mix in cocoa, salt, baking powder, vanilla, and eggs until combined.
Step 4
Stir in the flour and chocolate chips until well combined.
Step 5
Spread batter into the prepared pan (batter will be very thick).
Step 6
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 7
Transfer to a cooling rack for 20-30 minutes, then enjoy!
