Instructions

Step 1
Dough: in a large bowl mix the flour, the sugar, salt and yeast together until evenly dispersed. set aside. In a small microwavable bowl heat the water, milk, and butter together in the microwave until the butter is melted about 30 to 45 seconds and it's at 120° f. Stir the butter mixture into the flour mixture after it has cooled to 90 degrees. Add the egg and knead with hands or withstand mixer for four to five minutes or until the dough is no longer sticky. Place in a lightly greased bowl and let It rest for about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 200 degrees F and turn off 10 minutes or just before placing rolls in the oven. You want oven 80-100 f for rise

Step 3
Combine Brown sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon to make the filling. After the dough has rested for 5 minutes, roll it out into a 15x9" (or 15x10" if making 12 cinnamon rolls) rectangle. Combine the filling ingredients with a fork in a small bowl and spread thinly over the dough. Roll up the dough tightly from the short side and cut into nine even pieces. Place in a lightly greased 9" square pan or cut into 12 small pieces and place in a 9x13" pan and lightly cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap
Step 4
Place the cinnamon rolls in the oven to rise for 30 to 45 minutes starting with the oven off. After this time, keep the buns in the oven and remove the foil or plastic and turn the oven on to 375 fahrenheit. Bake the cinnamon rolls for an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven and top with the glaze.
Step 5
To make the glaze beat 3 tablespoons of butter with the hand mixer, and then add one and a half cups of powdered sugar, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and two tablespoons of milk and mix until spreadable. Spread over the warm cinnamon rolls.
