Cinnamon rolls

Cinnabon rolls that will make you think they’ve just come from Cinnabon!

Instructions

Step 1
In a small pot warm milk to 110 degrees Fahrenheit, add 1/4 tsp sugar and yeast. Set aside off the heat to activate for 10 minutes.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl add flour, 1/4 cup sugar, nutmeg & salt.
Step 3
Add egg, melted butter and cooled milk & yeast mixture.
Step 4
Knead dough for a few minutes till smooth and leave in a covered bowl to rest for 1 hour till doubled in size.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix together butter, sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
Step 6
Once risen, punch dough down and roll out into a large rectangle approximately 13'x9'.
Step 7
Spread filling evenly all over rolled out dough.
Step 8
Roll dough beginning with the long side into a long log shape and cut into 1 to 1+1/2 inch pieces.
Step 9
Rest in a greased baking dish with little space in between and leave covered to rise for another 30 mins while oven is preheating to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 10
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until just golden brown.
Step 11
While cinnamon rolls are cooling slightly you can mix together the frosting ingredients (you can use less or more milk depending on the consistency of frosting you prefer)
Step 12
When rolls are slightly cooled, frost generously and enjoy while still a bit warm for best taste!
