Rib-Eye Steak with Herbed Steak Butter

Ingredients

3 servings

1 x 24 oztomahawk rib eye
bone in, about 2 1/2 inches thiick
olive oil
olive oil
sea salt

fresh cracked pepper
fresh cracked pepper
2 Tbs premium french butter
2 Tbsbutter
premium, french
1/2 tsp herbs de provence
½ tspherbs de provence

Instructions

Step 1
Beat butter with herbs in a small mixing bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to grill rib-eye.
Step 2
Rub the rib eye liberally with olive oil, salt and pepper until steak is covered.
Step 3
Wrap lightly with cling wrap and place in the refrigerator to marinate for 12 hours.
Step 4
Put the grill over medium fire.
Step 5
Remove the steak from the refrigerator and leave at room temperature during the hour that the griddle is preheating.
Step 6
Place the steak, and cook for 10 minutes on each side to sear. For rare cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
Step 7
Add herbed butter on top, and lightly tent it with tin foil to rest for at least 15 minutes before cutting.
